GASMET™ -- A Purpose Built FTIR Gas Analyzer |
GASMET™ analyzers are designed from scratch to be rugged and field portable. |
Designed for multicomponent gas analysis directly at the place of interest. |
From the basic design, three groups of instruments have been developed: |
Gasmet™ "On-site" - Portable and transportable FTIR gas analyzers. |
Gasmet™ "In-lab" - FTIR gas analyzers for use in the laboratory. |
Gasmet™ "On-line" - FTIR gas analyzers for on-line, continuous measurements. |
The
GASMET™ patented hardware and software provide flexible solutions for
your gas analysis needs.

FTIR
Works
The operation of the GASMET™ is based upon the property of polyatomic gas molecules to absorb infrared radiation. Each gas absorbs infrared radiation at characteristic frequencies (i.e. wavelengths) which provides a means to identify different species from a gas mixture. |
Absorption intensity is dependent on the gas concentration, so which makes quantitative analysis possible. Thus the infrared spectrum of the gas sample provides information for both qualitative and quantitative analysis. |
The FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared) spectrometer of the GASMET™ gas analyzer measures the infrared spectra of the unknown gases. This spectra is then analyzed by the data analysis software resident in the computer to provide a rapid accurate analysis. |
The advanced, easy to use CALCMET™ software provides outstanding analytical performance. CALCMET™ analyzes the sample spectrum, operates the GASMET™, and controls automated sampling system units. CALCMET™ uses sophisticated multicomponent algorithms to enhance analysis specificity, allowing simultaneous detection, identification and quantification of up to 50 different gas components in a large array of applications.
